On May 16, students from the Volunteer Support Station, an extracurricular activity group of Kanazawa University and their advisor, Lecturer Kaisei Harada from Faculty of Economics and Management, Institute of Human and Social Sciences, coordinate by Associate Professor Tomoya Sato from International Center for Research and Education of Japan Studies, reported to students and faculty members from University Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia, who were on a short-term visit, about their volunteer activities since the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and their activities for the Noto recovery. After the reports, there was time for free discussion, during which Malaysian students introduced the University Pendidikan Sultan Idris. They interacted with each other through various themes, such as introducing popular Malaysian dishes and asking questions about the earthquake and flood damage.
